Stayed recently on a golf package and as part of the Great Irish Links Golf tournament . The faculties here are excellent , staff just couldn't do enough for you and always with a welcoming smile . The golf arrangements , transport , food etc were truly 5 star and the logistics seamless . Well done to all at Doonbeg... More

This place is isolated, but what else do you need beside 5 star accommodation, food and service on-site spa, world class golf course and the amazing Atlantic coastline The whole place has been designed with an old world charm (except for the naff thatched cottage) and with style and service to match. The rooms are finished and furnished to a... More

We spent 4 nights at this wonderful resort and could have stayed on indefinitely. Our "room" was more like a condominium. It had an entry hall/stairway, living room, fully-equiped kitchen, and powder room on the first floor, and a bedroom and large bath on the second. In the basement were a bedroom (locked out if not part of the rental)... More

We stayed for one night as guests of a wedding. The hotel is spread out as the majority of rooms are not in the main building. Be prepared to face the elements on your way to breakfast! We would recommend to request a room as close as possible to the reception area. The rooms are designed in rustic style. The... More

I stayed in one of the courtyard cottages during Easter, the weather was freezing and wild... both of which I love and think Ireland is at it's most beautiful when it is like that. The cottages are beautiful, the decor is lovely I wish I could have brought it all home with me. I heard about the amazing beds but... More

Stayed in the cottages and loved the comfy beds, quiet rooms, gorgeous bathrooms and friendly service. The plush robes, fluffy down comforters, heated floors and towel racks made us feel pampered, The location is rather remote but perfect for a relaxing get away on the beautiful western coast of Ireland. While the resort caters to golf, they ensure non-golfing guests... More

Stayed in courtyard suite. Home from home but nicer. Bedroom was great, huge bed and best shower I've had in a long time. Sitting room was lovely with comfy couch and great fire. Darby's is a casual bustling bar with good food. Can be noisy with golf parties but to be expected in a golf resort. Staff throughout we're very... More

A stunning location for a five star hotel combined with a beautiful and challenging classic links golf course. Service and food were faultless all served by attentive charming staff. We could not really find fault with anything! Went on a two day package with golf at Doonbeg and Lahinch, great value. Thoroughly recommend for a short golf trip.

Spent a girlie 24 hours in Doonbeg it was fabulous.. Stayed in one of the courtyard suites which are like a home from home except much nicer than my house... The setting is so unique and the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent....Went for a very bracing walk on the beach before breakfast but so worth it... More

I brought my boyfriend here for 3 nights as he lives in Australia and I wanted to really treat him for his short visit home. I can honestly say this was the best hotel break I have EVER had. We had an ocean view suite, which was luxurious and incredibly vast. I think we spent a good 20 minutes running... More
