“Manoir de Beauregard is a real treasure”

I recently had the extreme good fortune to be the guest, for several days, of Fanny and Francois Tonnelier. In 2007 I had taken a Loire River trip, stopping along the way to visit several interesting sites. I thought then that I would like to return and stay in one of the beautiful Loire Valley chateaux; and I picked the perfect one. I have nothing but praise. Fanny and Francois are perfect hosts and the "castle" was so interesting yet so comfortable. My room was lovely and I faced the river. My private bath had been very recently renovated with great taste and convenience. I was impressed that the Tonneliers were so generous in sharing their many antiques and paintings. Every room was unsparingly filled with interesting objects. I enjoyed a short walk to the small village and beautiful church. But the chateaux was also very conveniently located for taking day trips. I highly recommend Manoir de Beauregard More

We stayed in Fanny and Francois' beautiful manor house outside the medieval city of Saumur for three days. We had two cozy and comfortable rooms with a shared bath in a private wing of the house and a grand view of the Loire River. Fanny baked bread each day to serve with her generous European style breakfast. Their home is like a small castle and they are full of great ideas for restaurants, markets, chateaus, biking and other daily activities. And, don't forget to ask Francois to show you the 10th century caves! More
