Beautiful old buildings greet you as you take the small winding road up to Le Prieure. Our greeting was friendly and the ambience and decor was great. Just what I'd wanted as a 50th Birthday surprise for my partner and though our bedroom was not large, the decor was stunning and the views over the River Loire matched it. Glamorous... More

This place is simply wonderful and perhaps the best place I have ever stayed. The combination of the room, the view, the ambiance, location, staff...basically everything about this place was so pleasing. Leaving was very hard to do! Amazing views of the Loire; seeing the sun rise over the river was beautiful. Perched on the hillside, it feels a bit... More

We stayed for 5 nights and the views from our bedroom, (number 2), were fantastic. However, it was totally unsuitable for my disabled wife and for that reason alone I will never go there again. The price was also a bit on the heavy side given that the service was not as it should have been and the staff training... More

We stayed at Le Prieure for 3 nights / 4 days in the middle of a very quick escape to France. We were upgraded from a Superior to a Deluxe upon arrival. Our room had beautiful views of the Loire and was very spacious. The staff spoke excellent English (which, given my not excellent French, was very helpful) and was... More

The idyllic setting of Le Prieuré, with it's high views out over the Loire was a perfect start to an absolutely excellent meal. Although I was initially unusure of what to go for on the menu, which mostly consisted of regional dishes, I was not disappointed. The food that came was absolutely delicious. Local flavours and creative combinations were presented... More

We hired Le Prieure for exclusive use over three days to celebrate our Civil Partnership and my 50th Birthday Party. 120 of our friends and family members flew in from all around the world to participate in the celebrations. The Prieure and its entire team put on an amazing show which even attracted very high praise from the most seasoned... More

I have not stayed in the hotel but I have been to the restaurant twice and can comment on the hotel's restaurant, the facilities and the location. The restaurant has an interesting menu but it can cost an awful lot depending on when you choose to dine. The lunch time menu is reasonable and is on a par with other... More

We stayed in room #1. Nice room but incredibly noisy whenever guests above us walked around. They were active until after 1am and up again at 6am so we did not sleep much. Unacceptable for about 300 euro per night. Restaurant was very disappointing for 100 euro per head. You could do far better for the money. 10 years ago... More

We went to this hotel to spend a few days for a 60th birthday party. The hotel is situated in a very pretty area overlooking the Loire River and it has very beautiful gardens and leisure area. The staff seemed very disinterested in us and were of no help in sourcing local attractions or informing us what was nice to... More

We were booked into Le Prieure as part of a cycling tour group in the Loire Valley. The hotel has lovely grounds with nice views over the river. My husband and I were given a room in the Les Residences instead of in the main house. The room was OK, but lacked the grandeur and character of rooms in the... More
