Indifferent manager and dreary rooms, not much of a welcome at all and although the room was clean and bathroom adequate, the room was in need of modernising. Although our arrival time was noted as 17:00, the hotel reception desk did not open until 18:00, ensuring we spent a wet hour in the town. No apology was made for this. Although the staff were generally poite and welcoming, there were worrying signs of sloppiness which were confirmed when the waitress dropped the bread basket at dinner but served the bread anyway!
