With one exception it was difficult to fault Omaha Beach.Friendly greating at reception, clean comfortable room, excellent breakfast in bright and airy room, good value and splendid menu in the resturant and a scenic challenging golf course. What more could one ask for. The only defficiency is there is no lift up to the bedrooms and no porter to give... More

We really enjoyed staying at the Mercure Hotel Omaha Beach. It is tucked away & very quiet. The hotel was quite friendly & helpful. I would recommend this to anyone who is visiting Port En Bessin & the Normandie Beaches. More

Great hotel for a Mercure, its location is the best part. Breakfast room is well set out and has a broad selection of food. Pool is small but works fine. More

We chose the hotel to act as a base for going to the Bayeux Tapestry and the Normandy Beaches from Cherbourg. It fulfilled that role admirably and in a lovely setting. Our room had a lovely view of the sea BUT this was through a tiny window. That, the low ceilings and lack of lighting made the room very dark.... More

I and my wife stayed in this hotel as a part of the tour on August 30, 2011 for one night. The room was nice and the people very pleasant. The facility has a swimming pool and a golf course. It was very nice in a country setting. The breakfast buffet was reasonably good but could be improved in terms... More

Everything you would expect from a Hotel that is part of a large chain. It is efficiently run with polite staff who are willing to help customers with bad French accents and grammar. The only real downside is the lack of connecting rooms for families and the restaurant can appear expensive. More

We had a duplex room on the 2nd floor which meant that our 10 and 7 year old could sleep in their own single rooms on a floor above the main bedroom. This is a great set up, and although the room overlooked the car park, the golf course and had a sea view it was a little dark and... More

Very nice hotel surrounded by a 36 holes golf course. Hotel rooms are modernly furnished and spacious (Expecially "privilege" rooms).with a sofa that can be conveniently converted into an almost regular bed. Views from the hotel rooms are on the golf course (Relaxing, maniacally maintained green landscape). Breakfast is good and in a very luminous, although crowded, area. You can... More

We stayed at Mecure Omaha Beach for 2 nights on the way back from a holiday in Brittany. The hotel has a good location for visiting the D-Day Beaches and surrounding area, and is only an hour or so from the Cherbourg Ferry Terminal. We had our 2 year old son with us, and the hotel were very accommodating in... More

Great location for D-Day beaches and Normandy, lovely pool, friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms and an excellent breakfast. Just over-priced but then everything in Normandy is because I guess people are making their money for the year during a 5 month holiday season. Port-en-Bessin is the nearest village and a very pleasant place to spend an evening. More
