here is my brief experience with what I can call the worst hotel ever ! Just after my booking made on hotel.com I received an email from the manager saying that we can not take the rooms before 4:30pm. I answered ok no problem because we arrive late around 11:00pm. He then answered me "Please cancel your booking because the... More

Don't waste your time and money on Sartene. Just a drive through is enough. The people were awful and so was this hotel and the owner/manager and tries pulling credit card fraud after you leave and then he sends insulting emails when I challenged his actions. Beds are hard as a rock and cots collapse when sat on. What a... More

I showed have had more faith in the negative reviews. I don't think I have ever stayed at a place with such terrible management. First off, if you want to visit Corsica I would highly recommend avoiding July and August. I was amazed at how angry people were in general and when I talked to some local residents they said... We were booked to stay in this hotel for 2 nights. Our original email exchanges with the owner to confirm the booking had been curiously difficult - he did not want to confirm that we had the booking, nor the rate of the room and it took three attempts before we received these confirmations. Our travels took us past the... More

Really enjoyed this hotel. Lovely big, quiet room, very clean with good breakfast. It is in a nice position, just a few minutes from Sartene's centre with wonderful views over the valley. The receptionist was friendly and spoke good English and the manager who people have previously mentioned, just seemed a bit shy to me. He was friendly enough when... More

after all the reports here, i have to admit, i was afraid of going there. but it was the only hotel in that area with rooms free and allowing dogs to stay. and indeed the owner was there all mornings and evenings :-) but......... what a nice man! polite, helpfull and discrete. this was one of my best stays in... nice and beautiful hotel. effecient and helpful. however, the manager who must have had this hotel as a work of passion has crossed the line and he is now become a control freak. he sits and watches the guests eat, watches every move the workers make. one lady happen to pick one little flower and he was quick to scold... I was a little apprehensive as I has read previous reviews. I found the owner pleasant and extremely helpful. He found my driving glasses which I had left on the roof of the car when I got out (how blonde can you get!) and returned them to me with a joke. He helpfully called Figari airport at no charge to... Despite a rather glum owner who obviously have some form of personality disorder, I actually rather enjoyed my little stay here. Normally I don't bother with reviewing regional hotels as they are all rather much of a muchness, but this one was quite unusual, nestled tightly against a huge col, and so steep it needs 2 lifts to get down... Most of us are pretty happy in our work I guess, just averagely getting on with it. There are some people you meet in life who you feel are just made for what they do as well, those people who seem to have found their place. And then there are those people who just seem to hate what they do... More
