We only got to stay for a night in Monteverde and instantly regretted that! Camino Verde is a little hidden from the main area of town, but I liked that. We ended up arriving over 6 hours later than planned and Jose upgraded our room on arrival for free and met us outside after dark to show us where we... More

We spent three weeks in Costa Rica at similarly priced B&B's. Most were delightful. This was an extreme disappointment. Terrible! Perhaps the favorable reviews are from backpackers. It was not in our bed and breakfast league. Our world traveling kids could do better for the money. Waiting 30 minutes while the desk clerk watched soccer is not service.

Camino Verde is a small gem in Monte Verde. My friend and I drove from Manuel Antonio to Monte Verde very late at night. The reception area was supposed to be closed but Jose waited until we arrived almost at midnight. I really appreciated that and even more the advise that he gave us there. He gave us great advise... Hello all, My name is Nicolette. My boyfriend, Christian and I, went to Costa Rica on my Spring Break (teacher of 30 crazy, loving Kindergarteners) and we stayed at Camino Verde. We loved Jose and our stay at Camino Verde. It was kinda difficult to find at first, in our rental car (by the way, the drive from Jaco to... More

We just returned from a month-long car tour of Costa Rica, and we pretty much saw it all. Our stay in Camino Verde was one of our most memorable stays in the whole adventure, and the primary reason was the hospitality of the owners and staff. We walked in the door and were greeted with "Welcome, my Friends!" by Andres,... More

I spent 10 days travelling around Costa Rica with my cousin. We are not backpackers but equally we weren't looking for luxury hotels. Everything about Camino Verde was ideal for what we needed. Clean & tidy with a good kitchen and fantastic hosts who were friendly & very knowledgeable about the area. Camino Verde is quirky, fun & funky and... More

I've stayed at a lot of hostels and I can say the management here is top notch. Jose was quick to understand what I was looking for on my short but memorable trip to Monteverde. He helped me make the most of my time there with great advice and efficient bookings. He even helped me find my next hostel at... More

This B&B was awesome. Jose gives you a great overview of all the things to do in Monteverde is great help with booking. I had one of the best tours of the cloud forest with Victor. The B&B is a five minute walk from Santa Elena but there is a soda and a pizza place by Camino Verde.

Jose helped us in everything, even in booking a bus to Nicaragua with the concurrence. And he was very honest with people ("8 days is too much time in monteverde", "A one-day trip to Arenal is too much expensive regarding what you can enjoy in this short time at Baldi Hotsprings"). He was really amazing. The room was clean and beautiful,... More

I can't thank Andres (owner) and Jose (manager) enough for making our stay as wonderful as possible. Jose helped us arrange all of our tours, making some great recommendations. And even jumped in to help us arrange a last second tour to Curi-Cancha when the guide we thought we arranged for on our own before arriving was a no show... More
