This place is a must stay in Santa Elena. Free wifi, free coffee all day, excellent service at reception (Jonathan and Fraser) a good breakfast for the price of $2 and perfect location. Rooms are on the smaller side buy are clean, accommodating and do the trick! We stayed for two nights when we arrived in Santa Elena. Jonathan was... More

We simply got off of our bus and walked right in and booked a room. The staff were quite nice and we paid about $12US per person for a private room w bathroom and breakfast (which was wonderful!) at Donde Henry's. Rooms were quite small and the hostel itself apparently closes at 9 pm, so we got these cabina-type rooms... More

For five bucks a night at a dorm with shared bathroom, it's a steal for Costa Rica, especially since this spot is new and well maintained. Beds are comfortable with fluffy pillows, has a communal kitchen with coffee and three computers next to the information counter where you can book tours and buses. More

This is a great little hostel. I arrived via shuttle and was "accosted" by this super energetic guy who greeted me the second I got out of the van. I actually thought he was a "flycatcher" which is a random street guy who tries to drum up business for places. Well he wasn't-and when I hesitated to follow him he... More

It's not that easy to get to Santa Elena. We had to wait hours at the San Jose bus station. Then, it took over five hours on the bus. When we got to Santa Elena, it was cold, rainy, and windy. Fortunately, this hostel is right across from the bus station. It's in a great location in Santa Elena. You... More
