The casitas are on a hill, and directly in the line of fire if the wind is blowing. We could have used more blankets, and the pillows were like rocks. Too cold to shower in water that just didn't heat up!

The staff was absolutely fabulous. I visited Monteverde in early January 2012. It was so windy and cold (so bring layers if you are traveling around that time). We arrived on the jeep boat jeep from Arenal. The driver didn't quite know where we were going because there is another place in town called Camino Verde (which is what Tina's...

My family (2 kids, my wife and I) stayed in the private (4 beds) room for a couple of days in December 2011.
Pros:
- Friendly and helpful owners with good english
- They will help you with tours (though the prices for the tours appear to be the same as anywhere else)
- Cheap - around $65 a night...

We stayed here for 3 nights and since it was low season received a free upgrade which was very nice. The room was clean, quiet at night, lots of space, private bathroom with hot shower and good WiFi. We stayed at Tina's Casitas after reading the great reviews online, and we were not disappointed. The cabins themselves are brilliant, you really feel as though you are staying with the locals rather than in a sterile hotel. They are super clean and comfortable and although basic provide you with everything that you would need during your stay. The breakfasts...

The customer service was phenomenal--we arrived late but the owner left his number and came and checked us in at midnight. He was also very helpful and knowledgeable in setting up our sightseeing trips, which was particularly useful since we were only there for a couple of days.
The hotel itself is very nice and relaxing and the breakfast good....

We stayed here for 3 nights but wished that we had stayed somewhere else. The good news here was that Andres is extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding activities in the area. The things that we didn't like were- Our room was hot and there was no fan. There were mosquitos in the room and we received several bites. The sheets...

Hello Dear customer.
Thank you for your comments. we really appreciate your input. This is the first year we have problems with mosquito bites, and it's because of climate changes. Last 3 months were the hosttest we've had and I have been in this area for more than 20 years. Right now we are working on putting screens in the...
