A carefully renovated palace in the Medina (old town) of Azemmour which makes you feel like a prince in old Marocco. Rooms large, airy, spotless and traditionally decorated. Friendly service included and the only town in Morocco with hassling street vendors. Worth a detour. More

A very welcoming riad. Full of the colonial charm you would expect of the old Morocco. The rooms were clean, with a balcony that looked down into the central courtyard, filled with exotic plants, banana palms, and touches of Morocco. Full of charm, but we would not recommend the area surrounding this beautiful riad. The area does not cater for... More

We arrived without having booked and were greeted with great charm and helpfulness despite our very poor french and resulting communication problems. We were shown various possible rooms, all of which were stunningly beautiful. We chose one of the cheaper options, but this was still large, with beautiful decor and its own loo and bathroom. The central courtyard was full... More

The Riad is charming, very welcoming, and one would not expect it after walking some of the medina's streets. The contrast is enormous! Rooms are spacious and nights are quiet. There a lovely terrace which overlooks the whole medina. Surely if I go back to Azemmour I'll stay here! More

We are an American family traveling around the world with three young childen in tow (ages 8, 5, 2). We wanted to expose our children to the "real Morocco" which we found in Azemmour, a sleepy little coastal town approximatey 1 hour south of Casablanca. It was easily accessible with a Grand Taxi (approximately $50 each way). Riad Azama is... More

Riad Azama is a place I have wanted to stay at since I lived in Morocco a few years ago. I finally made it for a few days and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It is a quiet and relaxing oasis with banana trees growing in the central courtyard. The rooms are comfortable and restored with traditional Moroccan techniques such as... More

The riad is a complete delight and an architectural gem. Beautifully restored this small hotel has very well-appointed ensuite rooms. The bathrooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The service is friendly and warm. Luxury without pretension all hidden away behind the blue door. Fabulous! More

This Place is a real hideout. It is located just at the wall of the medina overlooking the city. When you enter it from the busy lanes of the kasbah you are surrounded by peace, harmony and quiteness. It is a typical riad with a beautiful atrium leading to the rooms on few levels. On the roof-top you have sunny... More

We travelled as a family with two children of 9 and 13, and a family friend who lives in Morocco. All of us were enchanted by this riad. The proprietor, Daniel Person, has a wonderful eye and has restored this building beautifully to elegant, tastefully faded splendour. There is a dramatically huge banana tree in the courtyard, chirping budgies and... More
