My husband and I have just returned from a four-night stay at the exquisite Molino del Carmen. We stayed in Escamillo's Villa and it was simply perfect. The lovely owners greeted us with a bottle of sparkling Cava Wine to celebrate our 35th Anniversary. Our residence had a breathtaking view down to the coast of Gibraltar and Morocco from huge... I stayed in Escamillo's over the May bank holiday. The Molino is beautifully furnished and has stunning views. The village of Gaucin is very charming and is a good centre to explore the surrounding area. The apartment was immaculately clean and offered everything we could have asked for. We also had lovely weather and enjoyed relaxing by the pool as... More

We looked at the reviews of this accomodation prior to travelling and also used the Alistair Sawdays Travel guide, in which Molino del Carmen features. We have used Sawdays recommendations in other countries previously and have never been let down. We stayed in Escamillo's Villa and found everything was to our satisfaction. We are a family of 4 with a... More

There is not much point elaborating too much - suffice to say this is as good as it gets when it comes to white villages accommodation. Location, view, furnishings, ambience and lots of home touches - this place has it all! Gaucin itself is a charming place and unfortunately we could only spend 3 nights here. More

The Molino is a stunning position in Gaucin, the views from the apartments are breathtaking. A week definitely wasn't long enough, as we were all feeling so relaxed we didn't want to leave. We stayed in Escamillo's and it certainly has the wow factor when you walk in, with many beautiful touches. They have thought of everything to make you... More

We just got back from a week at Molino del Carmen. Its a beautiful hotel with a gorgeous pool and everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Its immaculately clean and the sheets and towels are devine! We stayed in the Don Jose chambers which was just perfect for us with our little six month old. We were the only... More

What a wonderful place to explore the Andalucian area of Spain - Casa Carmen was ideal for two couples with 2 beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms (only complaint was lack of air conditioning in one of the bedrooms), plenty of wardrobe space, spotlessly clean with crisp bedding and a good supply of towels. The beautiful veranda became our living area for... More

We had a fantastic holiday staying in this beautifully converted molino. The owners are friendly and helpful and the apartments are comfortable and stylish. A fabulous pool is located on one floor with plenty of sun loungers. There is also a library with tons of books and dvds in case you get bored of stuffing yourself with tapas at night.... More

The welcome and quality of accommodation is excellent. This was our second visit having first been two years ago and was our first choice when wanting to return to the area. We stayed in Smugglers Suite but had not realised it was not totally self contained which would not have been an issue later in the season when drier and... More

What a great find! We stumbled on the molino and Gaucin by doing some innocent web-surfing and were so intrigued that we booked a week in late summer. It was perfect for us, well furnished and spotless with stunning views. We stayed in the Escamillo apartment and one night in Don Jose's, as there was another booking coming into our... More
