The hostess was French and welcoming.There are no coffee facilities in the room, but a communal tea and coffee area, where there is also an "honesty bar". - access to beers, wine, and spirits in the fridge, just make a note on the sheet. Rustic - Every surface, be it wall or floor, is rough, including the bedroom, which in places is painful on the feet. The bed is as hard as nails, and my wife, who is well over 80, got bed sores on he first night! We mentioned this the next morning, after which the hostess didn't speak to us. I searched around, and found a very large duvet in a cupboard, which I folded, and placed beneath the bottom sheet, and that solved the issue (on her side of the bed). We asked for a plug for the wash basin - didn't happen. The shower was old and downright dangerous. Had I not been in the bathroom when my wife was in the shower, she would have been badly scolded! I think the bed was made by an apprentice welder - a simple steel frame with no artistic flair at all....and why would anyone want a steel bedhead?? Even if the tired old pillows were comfortable, and if they could be placed against the bedhead, which they couldn't, it would still be impossible to sit in bed and read, because the only light shone less than a candle. Breakfasts were fine. Freshly cooked croissants, tea, coffee, fresh fruit, cereal, cold meat, cheese, toast, and as much as you wanted. Large pool - freezing cold, and empty. In the picture, ours was the room on the right, past the pergola. Quiet and peaceful.…
