The hotel itself had no faults, the apartments were modern and lovely. The beach is extremely near but town is a bit of a walk. The main issue is that i wouldnt reccomend this hotel or resort to anyone who was younger than 50. Filled with pensioners, nothing really for anyone younger to do. More

We are just back from a fabulous week stay at alvor bay. We couldn't fault the rooms and location. It doesn't look great as you pull up but inside is a total gem of a find! great hotel, large rooms with flat screen tv, large fridge, air con, hob, oven, microwave. great bathroom everywhere perfectly clean. 2 mins walk to beach, 6 mins to resort centre. only downside is small pool area only 20 sunbeds but also very nice area just might get full quickly no problem though when we were there early may would recommend... The location of this hotel is fantastic. 3 minutes walk to a beautiful beach and a ten minute walk to alvor village and all of the restaurants and bars. We stayed 3 nights in November, booking directly with the hotel. 122 euros for 3 nights B&B. The apartments are well equipped, we had a sea view which is worth the extra. We stayed here for 14 nights in Sept and would recommend. Spacious clean rooms with all mod cons, great views especially if you are sea facing. Didn't drink or eat in the hotel so can't comment, 5 min walk to the town where there were many reasonable bars and Restuarants with great quality food. Only downside is the pool area... More

Visted in September for 1 week . Absolutely lovely apartment . Just as you see in the pictures . Room excellent with lovely views over the sea and Alvor . Just wanted to agree with the majority of reviewers of this hotel - room, service, staff, location all excellent; bar closes dead-on midnight so make sure to order drinks before staff switch lights off & disappear (apart from the young bar-lady with purple hair who checked with everyone before closing - respect to her)...!
