This hotel occupies what is probably the best position in Geiranger - the staff are friendly and it has a lovely relaxing ambience in the main lounge and on the balcony - great view of the fjord. Excellent breakfast and Interesting art and old photographs line the walls. HOWEVER our room on the 5th floor was drab, shabby and in... More

Very pleasant hotel in the most stunning setting. Bistro food was very good and the staff were lovely. Hotel main restaurant seemed to be for coach parties. Only quibble is because of permanent daylight, curtains weren't adequate. More

This is what we can call a room with a view: just looking the fjord!!! The hotel comes with a nice breakfast, a very good bistro and a restaurant with a buffet. Parking is free but on the street. Wi-fi Internet only at the lobby, but free. The room we stayed had a good size and was clean. Priceless was... More

We were with Trafalgar. Some guests had front room views of the fjords, others had back rooms with a view of a wall and parking lot filled with cars, just behind the main street. When we compared our rooms to others in our group, clearly others had nicer rooms facing fjords. We’re disappointed. We expressed our concerns about the cleanliness... More

When we first decided to visit Geiranger we wanted to stay at the Union Hotel which happened to be booked. Not to miss out on the fjords we booked a room here and were very happy with the accomodations. The hotel sits directly on the end of the fjord and the view makes the whole experience. We were lucky enough... More

As a solo traveller I was made to feel very welcome here and the staff were very helpful at all times. My room was huge with a double bed and a sitting area with table, sofa and chairs. The bathroom was also spacious and the bath was handy for a soak after a days hiking. Breakfast was plentiful with lovely... More

My husband and some friends of our had an absolute lovely W/End at Hotell Geiranger end August. The weather was just fine for hiking, and there certainly are good possibilities for this. The food, both at the informal à la carte-restaurant and at the main restaurant, where we had huge buffets both for breakfast and for dinner, was excellent and... More

We stayed at the Hotel Geiranger July 2009 as we toured the Fjords of Norway. The hotel is a pretty basic, older hotel in a great location. Being in Geiranger, the options are VERY limited, and because of that you get a very average hotel at a pretty high cost. Positives: If you are just looking for a place to... More

After being blown away by the beautiful Geiranger fjord, upon getting to my room at Hotel Geiranger I was blown away once again when I saw the view outside of the window and from our balcony. I’ve never been to a hotel that’s offered a view quite like this one! Sure the room is very old fashioned and the décor... More

Me and my girlfriend wanted to have a nice weekend in our back yard(we live in Molde), we wanted to go hiking around Geiranger. And we didnt care too much about the room other than it should be clean and neat. And we did not get a room with a view, as we would stay outdoors most of the day... More
