We recently spent 7 nights at the Mercure Riesa. It is a new and modern hotel with very comfortable and attractive rooms. Not luxury accommodations by any means, but we had all that we needed. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to help with taxis, train info, directions, etc. One downside is that you can hear noisy neighbors quite easily. It is a mile walk to the Erdgas Arena and a much shorter walk to the downtown section of town. The breakfast (included) is very good and ample -- great coffee! more
