The hotel lies in the “Thermal” region of Styria which is an easy 1 ½ hours drive down the A2 from Vienna. This area specialises in “Wellness” hotels and has a pleasant landscape of gently rolling hills. We stayed 2 nights at "Der Steirerhof" and enjoyed every minute. Well, they charge quite some Euros for their rooms but you get a lot for your money and in our opinion it's worth every single Euro. Excellent hotel in the heart of the nature. Clean and relaxing; very helpful staff. Unfortunately the English information is lacking, but everybody is ready to speak and to provide the necessary details.

Hotel very good, very clean, good communication, plenty of parking places, kitchen very good (but the italian in near all the places we tried was better), wide variety of evening buffet, very good breakfast. The inner pool was too hot, not usable for us.
