The pinery is full of things to do for example, hiking the numerous trails, biking the roads and bike trails, visiting the visitor's centre, and basking in the sun at their beaches. I've been going for 13 years, and I always have so much fun there. The best place to camp is Burley, because the sites are a little more... More

I have read a few negative comments on this site about the park. I think people expect too much when going camping. It depends on where you stay. We have been there the last 4 years in a row, and have booked 10 days for this year. It never gets boring. Sure you'll have the odd rowdy partysite here and... More

We have been camping at the Pinery for the last three years and are hoping to make this year our fourth. They have three areas - Dunes, Riverside and Burley. We like staying in Burley because it's very far away from everything (up to 20 min drive from the entrance of the park), usually you have more privacy and more... More

I camp at this park every summer. Over the years I have learned to try and follow some simple tips: 1. Camp from Sunday to Friday if you want quiet. The rowdy, party crowd will show up on Friday and leave on Sunday. The park can get quite noisy on weekends. This year we came back to our site to... More

We camped at Pinery from July 16- 20 at Riverside campground during an incredible heat wave in a tent trailer. This is a very large and busy park with lots of activities and a great beach. We enjoyed ourselves, despite the unrelenting heat. As a family we camp - 5-8 times per year, and are familiar with many of the... More

Travelled to the Pinery with hubby and two daughters from a Wednesday to a Saturday. The drive to our campsite from the main gate was a minimum of ten minutes, it was like going into another world. Beautiful, beautiful park, which is very well maintained. It was the type of mini-vacation where you feel like you have been relaxing forever.... More

This was my first time to this park, and it was recommended by friends. We went with another family, all of us have kids. The beaches are many and great, the trails are fantastic, and the lack of mosquitos due to the dragonfly population is a nice plus. The washrooms and showers are in good condition and are clean, and... More

We had a lovely time and will be back again. Last weekend the Dunes 1 area was totally booked. We booked the last available campsite. Despite being full -- the washrooms were kept fairly clean considering the high usage. I have mixed feelings about the dog beach. We took our 5 month old pup for the first time and she... More

I have been to this park since childhood and loved the beautiful scenery and beach access. It is great for young children as they have a large interactive visitors center as well as a well stocked camp store. Needless to say this park always spoils my rest and relaxation with poorly managed staff. The front gate is never running smoothly... More

This is our second visit to the Pinery. The first one was on a bitterly cold spring day. This time, the weather was spectacular. The Pinery is quite nice for Ontario -- interesting walks, lovely beaches, etc. The services were mediocre. The quality of the signage and trail markers left much to be desired. There were no children's programs on... More
