We recently paid our fourth visit to the Old Bridge Hotel which is attractively situated in Holmfirth, a convenient spot for visiting the area. As ever we found the accomodation comfortable and the restaurant offered a large choice of food well cooked and in generous portions. Staff are friendly and helpful and there is plenty of information on the area... More

We stayed New year's eve 2010 (for the second time). It's a very nice place, rooms nice and beds are wonderful. Food was very good and the staff were very pleasant - especially Sam, what a nice lad he was. More

Good hotel, food excellent. Staff friendly. Get there early to get parking space at the hotel. Do not stay in room 24 especially at the weekend - it overlooks the box office bar which is very noisy and does not shut till 2am. Also on sat morning at 6am the bin men come to collect the empties - it sounded... More

We went to Holmfirth to go to a concert on the Saturday night so we stopped at the Old Bridge Hotel which is right next door. We loved it, our room was no 32 right at the top, the place is a bit of a maze, I took the wrong turning a couple of times, but that adds to the... More

We selected the Old Bridge as it is next to a rather interesting music venue in Holmfirth that had started life in 1912 as a cinema and drifted into a bingo hall, left for derelict for years and now serving as a great live music venue. The Old Bridge is slapbang in the middle of Holmfirth and is a pub/hotel... More

I have had lunch with my family at the Old Bridge Hotel many many times over the years but had not been there for over a year when we visited last week for a lunch in the bar area. Unfortunately the place has turned into a bar rather than a lunchtime location for food and drink for families. The area... More

Stayed for 2 nights last year. Rooms pretty outdated- really feel like you're staying in LOTSW territory, but the food portions are massive. BTH, I'd rather pay the same for less food but better quality, but that doesn't seem to hold it back. Book early during events, 'cos my dad's been disappointed twice now as he always leaves it too... We chose this hotel because of its central position in Holmfirth and it was in fact perfectly placed for walking round the town, lovely country walks into the surrounding hills and for exploring "last of the Summer Wine" region by lovely coach driven by Colin who was very helpful and friendly. also 2 mins walk from "Sids Cafe" used in... We, (party of 4) stayed here for 2 nights early in October. The hotel is central to everything around, so within walking distance of all shops, pubs, etc. The hotel itself is of old character, but delightful. the rooms were tastefully decorated and clean. Towels, shower gel, shampoo and soap & hair dryer were provided, and also a kettle with tea... More
