Staff and atmosphere is fantastic - love the food, especially the duck salad.
Quite expensive for pub food, although for a treat its great! Well worth eating here.

I went to the Inn On The Hill with my husband for a bite to eat on Bank Holiday Monday, we were lucky to get a table as it was very busy - always a good sign! We both decided to have the burger having seen it arrive on someone else's table. And we weren't disappointed! The burger was amazing,...

Great pub with rooms, good condition& clean, despite some inperfections. No phones in rooms, no room service as It was explained that refurbishment will be taking place. Complimentary cooked breakfast was nice touch.

Having been here a few months previously we visited again in mid Feb.
The thing that should be made clear is that they are currently waiting for the rooms to be refurbished. Now, things are still ok but little things like a missing towel rail, the odd light bulb missing and other fittings wonky or shabby would spoil the stay...

Just got back from our weekend in Godalming. Almost had a disaster on arrival when we realised my husband had booked us in for the wrong nights. Staff politely and quickly remedied the situation and we were saved the embarrassment of having to find an alternative place to stay for one night. Had slight problem with wardrobe door just before...

Our stay at the Inn on the Lake was awful. The room we had was so far away from the center of the hotel, that we couldn't access the internet, not to mention, the cable for the television wasn't working. Also, while the room was clean, many things seemed to be missing, like one of the light fixtures and the...

I was not impressed. The welcome wasn't exactly warm or friendly, and didn't give directions on how to get to the room. Walking up to the room, a light in the corridor hanging off - not a good start.
Got to the room, the door was open, from where it didn't close unless you pushed it. In the room, the...

Oh dear! 2nd time I've stayed here and still has the same mould in the nets & curtains. Had to sleep with the window open as the mouldy smell overwhelmed me. No soap or towels, water or glasses in the room. No means of contacting reception without going downstairs to rectify anything. Breakfast was good but served in or on...

Dirty, overpriced, scruffy and definitely seen better days.
Our room had a broken window, small and cell-like! We asked to moved and our second room had really bad smell of damp traced to the bathroom apand extended to the curtains at the window having damp on, really disgusts for £70 a night.....and the next day the cutlery and crockery was...

This place is full of contradictions. 3 mini bottles of shampoo in the bathroom, but no soap anywhere to be seen; expensive limestone tiling, but the towel rail has been pulled off the wall; the sofa bed which I retreated to half way through the night was considerably more comfortable than the supposedly double bed. No water glasses anywhere, nowhere...
