We go to Shallowdale House Hotel 2-3 times a year and love it. Stayed here for a cosy weekend away with my partner. A bit off the beaten track but couldnt fault it. Food was lovely, rooms spotless and service good. Weather was freezing outside but this is the kind of place one wishes you could be snowed in for a week or so. More

Lovely place, food, hosts but you cant class it as been in York. This is probably the only drawback as we were coming to visit York. Next time we will stay inside of the city walls. More
