Stayed at the bucks head last week, a beautiful experience overall. Good service and friendly staff. Had a course in another city next to Meonstoke and after being escorted to my room the chef ( John was his name) asked me at what time i want breakfast and 7 am wasn`t a problem for them. So an A++++ plus for... More

Spent one night here while walking the South Downs Way. Hosts were very friendly. Good food and drinks. Room was large and adequately appointed. Nice location for the SDWay walk. Make sure you inform the Bucks Head when you will be arriving since the Pub doesn't open until 6:00 PM. More

We stayed with our toddler for one night for the good wood revival. We had a friendly welcome and the staff were really helpful even washing our boys drinking bottle and providing breakfast early for us. The decoration was a little tired but the price I think fairly reflects this and is was very clean so had no negative impact... More

I have stayed at this B&B just for one night but I was very impressed with the hands on approach that the owners have.I had a problem in my room with the kettle but that was very fast solved. Excellent staff and food, very decent accommodation and a good night`s sleep. More

We stayed one night and were very disappointed. The pub looks beautiful, but we found the staff a little sharp and unhelpful. Everything appeared to be done on the cheap, from chipboard tables to mattresses where you can feel every spring. The walls are paper thin so we could listen to the couples conversation next door. We had hoped that... More

My girlfriend & I stayed here on our first night of doing the South Downs Way and had a very relaxing evening. Our room was very well turned out and more than adequate. The pub itself serves a good range of drinks. The garden was lovely, with a river running through the end of it. Breakfast was the best part... More
