We returned to Cockhaven Manor after 22 years as we had had our wedding reception and wedding night here. To say nothing had changed was a very true statement. Nothing HAD changed..... The decor was the same and it was so sad to see this lovely hotel so badly in need of a good spruce up and some tlc. Everything... More

This was our third visit to Cockhaven Manor and we have always been delighted with our stay. The food is always exceptional along with the friendly and welcoming staff. Nothing is too much trouble and we would highly recommend this hotel for the food and well kept accommodation. We love it so much we have decided to get married there... More

Don't understand all the positive reviews? We found this to be everything you would not want for a meal out. Cold surroundings, unhelpful staff and worst of all food that is definitely not local, fresh or expertly cooked. It was reminiscent of a bad school dinner. We would definitely not return and not recommend this to friends or family. More

Although we did not stay here we had a meal on the evening. The staff were very friendly, clean and smart. The waiting time for the food was not long and it was delicious! It was my birthday and before our dessert was presented with a balloon! (Thank goodness the age was not on it !) We would highly recommend... More

If you are looking for somewhere clean, with refreshing beers and ciders, good quality local well cooked food, then don't come here !. It's dirty, the beers have a horrible aftertaste (probably due to uncleaned pipes), and the food is dated, overcooked and tasteless. Our meal was so disappointing. The food was very poor and all the vegetables were over... More

Thank you for the review. Your reaction is surprising as we ask all departing guests if they enjoyed their stay and no one during April made any significantly adverse comments. Please be assured that we always strive for the highest standards of cleanliness and the review 1 day before yours gave us 5**. With regard to the beer, we serve... More

We organised my Dad's 80th party at the Cockhaven. It was a sit down 5 course meal for 56 people. The proprietor, Roy, could not have been more helpful, he organised the table decorations, disco, etc and it was all to a very high standard. On the night the food was served quickly and was hot and lovely. The staff... More

A lovely 15th century manor house, now a hotel and resterant. Have eaten at this establishment on a few occasions and despite how busy they are, you always get good old fashioned service to the utmost standard. The food is of good standard and well presented. There is no hurrying you, despite the fact we went on valentines day recently,... More
