In the recent bad weather Hotel Iaki was a welcoming, if somewhat deserted, safe haven from the snow, ice and -20c temperatures. Unless walking on a windswept Black Sea beach in the winter is your thing there really is nothing else to bring you to Mamaia unless working. Hence, this appears to be the only hotel open at this time... More

We had to be in Constanta on business for 2 nites in ealy winter (December), when most of Mamaia is closed up tight since its the off-season. Looked at a few other hotels, and they were fairly dark and abandoned looking - i.e. dead. But Iaki was more than half full, and was "alive". The room, lobby, hallways, etc were... More

off season visit to this three star hotel. Concerns: aggressive dogs in the front, motion sensors in the hall so one moves through dark halls & on dark stairways before (if) lights go on, one elevator, expect stairs, poor food & unhappy staff. The narrow tub is slippery without adequate hand rail. I did get the requested wake up call. More

The hotel was nice and pretty clean, the beach was cool. But the staff (reception, service at the restaurant) was rather unprofessional, and it's odd to note that the are not really taught to greet when they see a guest coming in the hotel or in the restaurant/terrace?! 1. we pre-booked a trip to the delta and instead of receiving... Unfortunately, Iaki Hotel has provided us the kind of experience that made us finally decide NOT to visit the Romanian shore anymore (as millions of others have decided before us, after the '89s events, particularly after 2000).It took us more than 7 years to take this drastic decision but our experience in this hotel was worse than we had prepared... I stayed there with a friend of mine in July - August 2011. I made a few complaints about a few things in the room, they never bothered to send someone to fix them. The chick at the front desk, so called front desk manager, said she would, although I told her take notes, you'll forget. She did (intentionally). Staff... More

Basic rooms with small bathrooms (only bathtubs, no separate showers), uncomfortable beds with old mattresses and artificial foam pillows. This is a family oriented hotel so be prepared to see screaming children throughout the entire hotel, from main restaurant, bar, lobby to pool area. Although there are two pools, both are open to children. There is no wireless in rooms... More

The room was small and you had the impression of a poor 3 stars hotel that will soon go to refurbishing. Everything was old and used.the spa was dirty, I didn't have the courage to enter the pool as it seemed very dirty. I made a spa treatment and I had to walk on the hallways full of mud because... From the point of view of the aspect, Iaki is a 4 stars hotel. But, the food is really really bad, they have a nice menu, with fancy names but when you get to eat everything is below average. For example a friend ordered a stake which was made in the morning or some other day and heated in the... More
