There is a small pub in the little village of Penzano that is deceptive. If you look quickly in the door, it looks like a bit of a dive, but walk through, and there is seating outside, under a fig tree trellised patio area, with a panoramic view of the olive groves and vineyards below in a valley all of... more

We spent two weeks at the Fagiolari cottage overlooking the pool and I can honestly say we had a great time. Giulietta was a gracious host always available and willing to recommend a restaurant or help us in any way. My six year old really enjoyed the pool. It was very clean, the chairs were comfortable and surprisingly not very... more

A Tuscan Countryside Bed and Breakfast situated in the lovely Chianti region, Fagiolari is a wonderful surprise. My husband and I spent 5 days in August and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The road leading up to Fagiolari is enchanting as you pass vineyards, olive trees and stucco buildings dating back hundred of years! Guiletta has loveingly renovated her... more

I 1000% loved this place. It was beautiful, homey, friendly, fun, realxing...and so much more. The dirt road...if you drive appropriate speeds - it's not an issue and you can take in your beautiful surroundings. (We had a small rental - not four wheel drive and it was fine.) We encountered many roads like this during our Tuscany trip. The... more

Fagiolari is a lovely B&B, rustic and charming set on beautiful grounds. A nice relaxing change of pace after more hectic spots in Italy. The room was comfortable and clean. Easy to get to charming Tuscan towns from here as well. Try not to make your first drive in at night as the road is narrow and winds quite a... more

My wife and I always enjoy coming here. The owner is a gem, the food is great and the atmosphere is relaxing. Plus, she has classes in Italian cooking! We were here for a week and the area is beautiful. Would highly recommend!! more

First, the good news: this is a gorgeous and peaceful place. The grounds are even more beautiful than the photos. If you stay here, try to allow at least a half day to lounge at the pool and enjoy the grounds. We stayed in the cottage and we were comfortable. The breakfasts were good. Now the negatives: the road into... more

The location of this bed and breakfast makes it a very special stop in Tuscany. A recommendation is to limit the number of times you drive down unless you have a four wheel drive. Also remember when the instructions say go to the end of the road they really mean end of the road - Fagiolari is the last home... more

Our stay at Fagiolari was simply magical, and though the stories of the rocky approach road to the property are all true, a slow lazy drive down the bumpy road reveals surprises of its own - from bird sightings in the vineyard (a cuckoo, redtail hawk) to a family of Golden retrievers jubilantly greeting all comers. We booked our stay... more

We learned about Fagiolari from friends who had stayed there several times in the past. Giulietta has spent many years creating a quiet oasis in the Tuscany countryside. It lies at the end of a rough dirt road and was originally the workers' house for the villa that you drive past on the way to Fagiolari. The grounds are beautiful... more
