I have stayed in this hotel during one week in april 2012, and I can say that this hotel is very nice, with an old style but in very good conditions. The room is big with two big beds. The restaurant is very good, the menu is enough and good quality, too. The situation is perfect, in the center of... More

Bit disappointed initially as the reception area is rather unprepossessing, and the landings are papered in a somewhat old fashioned yellow and blue. However our room (as requested at the back of the hotel) was large, with a comfortable bed and big bathroom. At around 80 euros, we felt it was good value. We did not eat there, the restaurant... lovely old hotel, original architecture from, I would think, 1800s, right in centre of beautiful town of Langres. Well appointed rooms, we had 3 between us, good quality bedding and furniture, very nice bathrooms and accessories. The sort of place you would wish to return to, but having also stayed in F1 on return trip - when all we wanted... More

The hotel is in main street with off-street parking. Not without old style charm. We had booked two double rooms eight months in advance but were allocated top floor rooms in an annex with no lift. Rooms were clean and adequate, in fact ours had a connecting room with extra double bed. Free Wi-Fi had a password designed to safeguard... More

It was chosen as an overnight stop on way to Channel Tunnel. The general air was very run down with unhelpful staff even taking into account the language barrier they made very little effort to communicate. Despite booking in for breakfasts which was until 10am, when we arrived at 9.10am they didn't have any croissants and weren't going to provide... More

Situated in the centre of the town, so great for shopping if not raining! Car parking in the old barn behind a great plus. We were in the main building and had a huge room with two double beds and ensuite bath/shower and separate toilet. Wifi in the room. Dinner was off the daily menu at Euro 17.50 and was... More

We stayed here on our way back from a couple of weeks in Italy. We were disappointed with our choice on first sight - the hotel has a distinctly run-down air about it, as though no-one has invested in it for the last 50 odd years. The reception staff were polite but aloof and made no concession to the language... More

L'Europe is like an old fashioned English country hotel - at the centre of the walled town of Langres. The rooms are large, polished wood furniture abounds and the decor is bright and colourful and cleanliness excellent. As such it made an excellent staging post on our way back north with just two minor niggles. Car parking arrangements (admittedly free)... More

We stayed at this hotel whilst driving through France & Italy. We thought it very shabby chic in a nice way. Some of the decoration was pure 1940s and we felt that nothing much had changed since WW2. The staff were OK in gallic kind of way. We thought the food was fine and breakfast was very good indeed. We... More

One night stay on the way to Italy. Hotel full of character although a little'tired'. Secure parking on site very useful (at extra cost). Situated in centre of walled town of Langres. A little difficult to find. The dining room was cheerful but the menu a trifle over priced . However, the cheeseboard was magnificent and best we experienced throughout our... More
