Reading the reviews are interesting - as nothing seems to have changed since our visit in April 2009. The hotel has great potential and the swimming pool and (local) staff saved our holiday from becoming a complete disaster. The even ran out of beer!!! What a fabulous 3 weeks we had at Coral Rock. Any concerns we may have had about taking 2 young boys (8 & 11) to the "edge of the world" - and this place really does seem like that, we're immdiately dispelled as soon as we arrived. the rooms are filthy and the sheets and mattresses are gross. The air conditioning doesn't work and when it does it is loud. The pool is tiny and access to the beach is limited to say the least. The chairs are broken...I could go on and on. I have stayed in hotels that are simple but this is just gross. more
