When I was told we would be staying in a tent camp I had no idea it would so luxurious. The staff, the food, the view, the animals, are all incredible. The next time we visit the area we will definatly be going back and bringing more people!

My wife and I had a great stay at Black Leopard Camp. The hospitality was amazing and we loved the game drives, the rangers were very knowledgeable and we learnt some interesting facts. We had an amazing weekend at Black Leopard Camp. The camp is nestled right in the valley which is a good hours drive by 4x4 through the reserve. You step out of your tent and are faced with the majestic view of the mountains around you and we were lucky enough to have the river running through right in front... More

I have literally just returned today but want to make sure I do not forget as we had such a lovely time. We have been to numerous lodges in Kenya, Namibia, Botswana and SA so we were not looking for big 5 (well perhaps a leopard and one was near to camp by prints in morning!). What stands out is... Group of friends rode our Harleys to the Black Leopard Camp and with the help of owner Allan where we parked the bikes at the main road for the two days spent an amazing time with Allan, Lindsey and the staff in the lodge. Great relaxing time, plenty of drinks...... some game drives and the good food topped our time... More

We really enjoyed the 3 nights we spend at BLC - the nature, the tents, the staff and owners as well as the spectacular mountain view during the day and stars during the night. The owners have also donated a leopard research center at the premises. Will be back!

Although we did not see any leopard my knowledge of the bush and thanks to Rudi knowledge of dung beetles has improved! The team go out of their way... More

If you're concerned about the future of leopards you should certainly visit Black Leopard Camp. It's a beautiful tented camp in Thaba Tolo, connected with a leopard research project led by Tara Pirie, aiming at getting to know more about the behaviour of those magnificent animals. Amazing how far those animals travel around. But even if you are interested in nature... More

We went to Black Leopard Camp to learn more about the research project that is ongoing on Thaba Tholo. It involves the tracking of leopards so as to learn more about their behaviour and moves. We were not disappointed, quite the contrary! But while we we were happy to get to know Tara and the research team, we also had... More
