The Chicanna Ecovillage Resort is a great place to stay if you want to explore Calakmul (about 1.5 hours away) and the Rio Bec sites. Rooms are simple, but comfortable and very clean. Beautiful location if you like nature and archaeology . Nice terrace and room. Very unhelpful and weird receptionist. When we arrived the hotel was empty. After 1 hr a group of 20 noisy Germans arrived and they put them next door. They got up at 5 o'clock AM and they woke us up!!! Also a bit pricey. More

Don't expact to much. The people who work in Eco Village looked bored and that says enough. The place is not in good shape well they try with à new swimmingpool but that's it. The room is okay with no airco. We stayed here one night and that was more than enough More

We arrived down a very bumpy dirt road to the resort, which was very quiet (we saw no other people) and seemed like it was only half-heartedly operating.
