The last review is a fair reflection but I would add that there are so many excellent things about this hostel. A hostel needs space for relaxation. Because Achmelvich beach hostel is closed during the day, it is not possible to relax in the bedroom or lounge, which I find really important during a holiday, especially in an area such as Achmelvich where it's never warm (or dry) enough to lie out in the grass for any period of time. Stayed her for 3 nights in April 2010. As slightly off season it was fairly quiet. 2 dorms with 12 beds in each, bunkbeds, and a separate annexe which also has around 12 beds.
