A highly entertaining breakfast complete with acrobatic weasel showing off in garden...child was entranced! Thanks once again John and Paul for a great stay...as wee one said it is her favourite hotel. Looking forward to staying again at end Nov when we go to Christmas markets in Belfast. We were tavelling around the west coast on our motorbike and had stayed in Whitehaven the night before, then journeyed up to Gretna Green and along the A75 (on a wet rainy Tuesday morning). We were so pleased to arrive at this scenic Guest House north of Stranraer. The food and service were impeccable, and we wish we could have... more

Can't usefully add to previous comments (save the single malicious one) except to wholeheartedly endorse them all. Only stayed here on the basis of Tripadvisor recommendations, but very glad that we did and we'd return absolutely without hesitation. more

I cant speak highly enough of these two. The rooms were large, bathrooms more than adequate, comfortable beds and the rooms were exceptionally clean.... more

Spent a night here on my way to the open at Turnberry. I can honestly say that this is by far the best value for money I have experienced on my travels. The service we received from the the staff was just excellent. They knew we had an early start and put a tray of breakfast outside our room for... more

There are hundreds of guest reviews on their own web site and I can validate all their superlatives after spending two wonderful holidays there. Only rarely do they accept guests of poor quality. I spent many happy hours on their verandah puffing my pipe watching the ships pass up and down the sea loch and taking in the view of... more
