What a gorgeous B&B with a spectacular view of the bay, walking distance to downtown, meals to rival any 5 star restaurant. Rooms are clean with that added touch and attention to detail,as in the rest of the house, that refllects how far the host will go to pamper his guests. Brian is the perfect host ready to joyfully cater... More

Brian is a fantastic host with great knowledge of the surrounding areas. The house is steeped in history and extremely cosy. We were given a choice of breakfasts, with fresh herbs picked from the garden and beautifully arranged on our plates. The location is great for exploring Waterford. Be sure to include a trip to Lismore and Ardmore while you're... More

My family (a party of 6 adults and 2 kids under 2) was on a touring holiday of Ireland. We stayed in B&B's for 3 weeks and Cairbre House was one of our favs. Brian was so lovely and welcoming. He was very accommodating with my kids and allowed us to put milk in his fridge. What was particularly kind... More

Overlooking the river and set in fantastic gardens. Most rooms have garden or river view. Choice of breakfasts. Try the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and salad from the garden. Brian is the perfect host. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. More

This was our third stay at Cairbre House, and another wonderful experience. Brian went out of his way to welcome us back to his lovely home - tea overlooking the river, comfortable rooms and gourmet breakfasts. He even helped cousins travelling with us to locate a shop they wanted to visit in Cork. This house has an interesting history which... More

A perfect B&B in a quite spot withing a short walk of Dungarvan town centre and a great base to explore the beautiful surrounding area. My room offered magnificent views of the water and surrounding hills, a benefit that some places would charge extra for. There are tranquil gardens and a conservatory to chill out in and take in the... More

We loved Cairbre House! The setting is beautiful, the welcome warm and friendly and the breakfasts are fantastic. Dungarvan is a good base for exploring and building quite a foodie reputation but take care if you are staying on Sundays and Mondays - most restaurants have last orders at the ridiculously early time of 8pm those nights. Thank you Brian... More
