Spontaneous siblings (& significant others) trip to Tuscany was truly unforgettable. This "resort" was top notch, with impeccable attention to detail and a service level beyond expectations. For example, my husband left his cappuccino on the breakfast table to use the restroom, the waiters promptly ran over, and made him a new one so it would be warm once he... More

It is outrageous that they charge their own guests more for their produced wine them any other place in the region. We bought a bottle for half of the price in an enoteca than what we paid in the hotel. Everything is priced well above other Tuscany hotels and restaurants we were. We happened to meet the person that was... More

Four couples-all family(no children)-went to celebrate a birthday in the Tuscan countryside. This trip ranks up there as one of the best ever taken and this fabulous property and the incredible attention to deatail from the staff made the trip perfect. There are very few times where I would say that my expectations were surpassed by such a large margin.... More

We stayed for a couple of nights in december, and had a fantastic time. Putting the fact that we were well and truly upgraded to an amazing suite behind us, the service, food and attention detail by the staff in this hotel are pretty much second to none - to the point that we stayed at a competitors hotel one... High points: The village atmosphere of the resort. The spare-no-expense interior design of the accommodation. The lavender-edged infinity pool and glass-walled fitness pavilion, both with birds-eye views over Tuscany. Low points: Underwhelming spa. A 15-minute drive from the classic Tuscan hilltop town of Montalcino, Castiglion del Bosco is another hilltop town, more of a hamlet really, that presides over one... More

We stayed here for two nights this past October. The grounds are stunning. Being able to sit by the pool and look over the tuscan hills was one of the more serene moments I have ever experienced. Our suite (might as well call it a villa) was spacious, well decorated, with an incredible outdoor patio. We had two dinners at... More

My wife and I spent 3 nights of our honeymoon in CDB during October and we cannot recommend the place enough. If it is relaxation you are looking for, then you will not find many places to beat this. Yes, it is remote, but after the bustle of Rome, it was a welcome break. Although off the beaten track, the... More

Was at CDB for 4 days in September on our honeymoon. Wonderful property. Overlooking tuscan hills just like it should, superb pool, even better gym (literally, glass structure overlooking the hills, never worked out in a place remotely that good), really nice rooms and great decor. Reception was very friends, we were treated very well. Yes there is dirt road... More

We have just returned from our second sojourn in Castiglion del Bosco (CdB). CdD is not a hotel or resort but rather a real country Tuscan experience. It is a living self sufficient ultra luxurious compound with 4,500 acres of nature preserve and perfectly remodeled buildings to original conditions and splendor with a twist: a Ferragamo touch. Absolutely everything from... More

I have booked this place as part of my honeymoon, this is a Disneyfield version of Tuscany, the place is a fake, the food is barely eatable, you are lost in the middle of nowhere, it costs you more than 1000 Usd a night and to get there you risk your life as the dirty roads to get there are...
