A fabulous ultra clean and modern retreat mixed with rustic eccentricity and tranquility - we loved it! Its a perfect base for exploring the Island - a car is useful. We went to this hotel for a week in October 2011 and had a fantastic time. Even though it was the end of the season all of the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Dont believe the last couple of reviews. This was our second time at the Electra Palace, and it was just as wonderful as the first time. We are booked again for next year. We stayed at this hotel for a week from 5th October. We travelled with Thomas Cook and sadly we were caught up in the air traffic controllers strike which meant we lost almost a day of our holiday. The hotel is all inclusive but desite being made aware of our very late arrival we weren't even provided with a sandwich.... More
