We spent about two weeks, and had chosen the 'Imperial' wing, close to the beach. Overall the hotel has a very good location, just at the edge of the village center to be sufficiently quiet and yet a very short walk from the shops and restaurants of Platanias. Clean beach, and the hotel has a section with its own sunbeds... More

Seems to be a large hotel split into two areas. We chose and Imperial room in the new area by the beach. The older section looked a little more mature and eclectic. Breakfast was by the beach and was excellent. Very good range of food and helpful and attentive staff. We felt front desk was a little aloof tending towards... More

No 5star, boring 4 star, yes. Rooms are nice design but not always practical. Bathroom is spotless and nice size. Pools are good size but hard wooden beds at the poolgrounds. Matrasses on them but still pretty hard to spend some hours on, if you have backproblems not for you. Restaurants are boring and expensive, drinks are expensive. We just had... More

This hotel was first-class. It is ultra modern, spotless and in a good position. The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. The choice of food is very varied and of good quality. The room was like a junior suite with a large settee and plenty of room to move around. We usually pay extra for a... More

It's a great hotel. They've spent a lot of money on equipment, furniture, etc. and it shows. The service was great and the conference halls were wonderful. More

The nice but not very spectacular hotel did not meet our expectations we wourd have to a fivestar hotel: - staff is slow and not very motivated (except in the restaurant) - food is not very exclusive and rather boring and not very typical for greece - the individual pools are very small and in comparison with those of other... We stayed for a week half board as part of our honeymoon in September 2011. We booked through Thompson and paid for an upgrade on the standard room so that we would be staying in the "Imperial" side of the hotel (the new part by the beach). However, before we travelled we emailed the hotel to say we were coming... More

We wisited the hotel april-may 2012, swtayed in main building with mountain wiev. Sunshine reach only partly to the balcony, which is good especially in midsummer. The landskape was very nice like being in the real gountry, coc crow every morning begin 5 AM, and dogs woof and of course we didn´t miss sheep and cow voting. When the blowing... More

We traveled to Crete for a conference held in this hotel. It is 5 stars+ hotel, with spacious rooms, several swimming pools, private beach and several restaurants. On the main road there are a lot of souvenir shops, supermarkets and cheap restaurant. No problem in parking space for your car. Excellent buffet breakfast. Very polite and helpful staff. Reccommended, but... More

There are two parts to the hotel on each side of the road so I guess people will review differently depending on which room they book. I'm reviewing the "Imperial building" on the beach. When I booked this holiday there was a £3-4 per night upgrade available to an imperial room, best money I ever spent! The room is one... More
