Many visits to Ch de Montreuil have demonstrated this hotel's consistency in terms of its food and service - which are both of the highest possible standard. Very well placed for channel crossings with a clientele that is about 75% British, English speakers should feel very comfortable and relaxed. The staff are effortlessly efficient, willing to help in every way... More

Once upon a time, when you got 1.60 Euros to the pound this might just have been an average deal. However, now it is 1.09 Euros to the pound and you are paying double London prices for, in my case, a room with a cracked mirror and an air of faded gentility. Only the food and the wine, together with... More

I read some negative comments about this hotel and restaurant and they are completly unfounded. The hotel is a delight, the staff are warm, efficient and descreet and the food is excellent. Book early to avoid dissapointment, ask for Room 1 or the Monkey Room. Secure parking available if you require. Enjoy your stay. More

We stayed in a beautiful room with everything we needed and bags of style, space and charm. The Hotel is a little understaffed but nevertheless always happy to help and serve very high quality and correctly prepared produce. Lovely for a special occasion and with the trip just for the location. More

We made the planning mistake of being guided by the hotel reviews when deciding on a restaurant for our weekend stay near Montreuil. While the hotel itself seems OK from what we have seen (we did not stay here), the restaurant itself is not good at all. It could only impress a diner who has never eaten in an upmarket... More

The hotel is a very attractive property, clean well furnished and maintained..Very adequate rooms with a pleasant outlook, quiet and well placed in easy distance from Calais..However the food is terribly overpriced with no reasonable options for people who don't want to stuff themselves with an over long menu, breakfast is reasonable but again overpriced..My tip is to stay there and... Thanks God we had reservations just for one night. The Chateau needs to be refreshed and the bed mattresses need to be changed; the mattress of the room was old and hard, I woke up with back pain. This hotel charges extra for almost everything: parking, pets, even breakfast. Now, the food was good but for what they charged I... More

Stayed at the start of our summer holiday as a treat for our Wedding Anniversary. Room exactly as expected with a dressing room too. Lovely furnishings and corner view of the garden. In my opinion worth the little extra to be in the main building. Warmly greeted and shown to the room. A good location for surrounding areas and not... More
