Looking for that special place for the perfect getaway? This is it! And it keeps getting better every time! Upon arrival the most hospitable and helpful guest Experience expert Yassmine greeted us with revitalizing welcome cocktails and took efforts care of any reservations and planning we desired. The suite was unbelievably beautiful and perfectly appointed, a big thank you to Illago from housekeeping and his team, during our wildlife excursions Khaya was a treasure trove of fascinating facts and dinner with Dushan was most entertaining with immaculate service. We can’t wait for our next stay to come around, thank you all and everyone at Al Maha!

From moment you arrive the attentive friendly staff seat you in a chilled area to welcome you to your stay. Your personal guide then arrives to ask what activities you'd like to do during your stay. Yasmine was particularly welcoming and delivered first class service. Marno our guide deliver a fabulous 4*4 dune experience. Camel ride for the sun down highly recommended. Only one restaurant but food quality and service was perfect Thanks to Joel and Remi for looking after us so well. Oh yeah - room and pool view to die for! Few details in room getting a little tired but that does not detract from the overall experience.

The photos online simply don't do Al Maha justice - the setting is spectacular if you are looking to truly disconnect. Each "room" is a private villa with it's own infinity pool that looks out over the desert. Every morning, you wake up to a shifting view of dawn breaking over the landscape. The excursions are fun and informative. The rooms are incredibly plush and comfortable.

This Saturday for my birthday, hubby and I stayed in Al Maha for 1 night and 2 days. The location, the property, the facilities, the suites and the service was excellent. We absolutely loved our stay and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate my birthday. They also offer activities which we throughly enjoyed. However the food can be improved.

This is truly a special hotel that offers a complete different experience in Dubai. You are out in the desert about an hour from the city. It is extremely remote, so make sure you line up some transportation ahead of time. The staff was very friendly and check in went very smoothly. I had been communicating with the hotel days in advance and had requested and an early check in. When we arrived, our room was ready for us, that is ALWAYS a great way to start. The one bedroom villas are beautiful inside with each one having a very private pool. Make sure you ask them to turn up the heater in the pool to your desired temperature before you arrive at the hotel. We used the pool a great deal. We would highly recommend doing the nightly sunset with champagne out in the dunes each night, you can go by comfortable SUV or on the back of a camel. They have numerous other activities depending on how active you want your stay to be. Two things we were very disappointed in were: We were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary on this trip, we had asked if we could bring up a special bottle of wine we had brought along to open up with our dinner. When I asked before our trip, they said that would be fine, there may be a corkage fee, but they weren't sure. Before going to dinner, we asked again, they told us it would be $160 US corkage fee! That was absolutely crazy! You can order your full dinner to your room at no extra charge.....there would not be a corkage fee in your room. We were EXTREMELY disappointed by this. The second thing we were disappointed in; was on the 2nd night we decided to go up to their restaurant and try their 5 Course dinner that was included in our meal plan package. It took horribly long, the service was average at best. We finally had to complain after waiting for 40 minutes for our last course, we were one of the last couples in the restaurant. It wasn't worth the 3 hour experience. Next time we will just order our dinners to enjoy in the beautiful villa or if the weather is great, on the villa patio, by the pool under the stars.

Stunning location just outside Dubai which is a different world to the hustle & bustle of the big city. Well spaced accommodation gives you the impression of isolation but you have all the luxuries in your suite that you would find in a big city hotel. The main reception has a good restaurant with indoor & outdoor seating options or you can choose to dine on your own patio which we enjoyed enormously. You are allowed to choose 2 activities daily from a list of 6 that are linked to the desert setting plus there is a spa & swimming pool if that takes your fancy. All the staff were very friendly & keen to make sure your stay is an enjoyable experience. We booked for 2 nights which I think is the minimum time you should consider if you want to get the maximum benefit from your stay. It’s expensive but you do get a lot for your money and it is something completely different to the usual UAE holiday.

Spent 3 days at this fabulous resort in October 2023 following work travel to Dubai. The hotel helped us arrange transportation from downtown Dubai to the property - an easy trip with great scenery, even passing a camel farm and racetrack. Our room was luxurious with a huge comfortable bed overlooking our pool and the desert. Our private infinity pool was both beautiful and a welcome respite from the desert heat. It was kept at the perfect temperature for lounging and was positioned for ultimate privacy. The multi-cultural food was delicious - both room service and the restaurant. Try the Sri Lankan dinner (order in advance). The guides were knowledgeable and friendly - truly made you feel welcome. The camel ride to a perfect spot to watch the sundown with a glass of Champagne was truly an amazing experience. Activities were included but even if you never left your room and pool, it would still be wonderful. Being at this resort was the most relaxed I've been in a long time. This is the epitome of casual luxury. I can't wait to go back!

I cried leaving this paradise.. superb resort. So delighted I picked this desert oasis. The best food ever and wonderful staff... Eva, the kind, gentle hostess looked after us very well from the minute we arrived. As a family of 5 and with our son just married ( in Maldives) we all joined in the stop over from Emirates airlines to stay a few days initially in Dubai city and finish off our stupendous trip in AL Maha... We were kindly upgraded to a 2 bed Royal villa which absolutely knocked me out with its size, position and beauty. The furniture was amazing.... the pool and massive decking with outside dining table and 5 huge comfortable sun loungers equally amazing... The unspoilt view of "acres of desert " blew my mind !! The birds were in continuous song and the only visitors to visit us were the darling gazelles!! The bathroom products were excellent... I even bought some on departure from front desk. The extra large massive beds , embroidered sheets, huge fluffy white towels, robes, lounges, massive ensuites all fit for Royalty!! The honeymooners were treated like Royalty. Especially on their solitary night time desert picnic..... There was 1 restaurant where we were served absolutely delicious food and plenty of it. Alcohol beverages were extra and expensive. Our waiter Yogi was so pleasant and cheerful and made us feel very special. Thank you Yogi. I had a terrific massage by Theresa in the Spa area....probably the best massage I have ever had. Sean, was our desert tour guide assigned to us. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a great activity trip and information around the reserve. Thanks Sean.. All the guys from South Africa were very polite and helpful. The champagne sunset Camel ride was great fun. The camels were very well maintained ,clean and healthy. I would love to gallop off on one by myself!!! Especially after 2 glasses of champagne on top of a soft sandy Hill !! This is a retreat of tranquility that I will return to ...and stay more than 2 nights!! Dubai is 1 hour drive away.... and it was such a pleasure to get away from the hustle and bustle of that metropolis. Thank you EVA.... thank you Mr Mohamed Mansour... you are running a great place... I cannot praise it enough...

The hotel is just fantastic. Even the small villas are amazing. While they are a little dated, the private pool, great views, and phenomenal service more than make up for this. Usually I’m picky when it comes to hotels. But I can’t praise the Al Maha enough. All employees were doing whatever they could to make my stay there unforgettable. If you have a chance to go here, do it!
