“An under-rated hotel in an over-rated town”

Unlike some other reviewere, we found this hotel just what we wanted. They staff were very helpful with everything, finding the indoor pool, using the outdoor pool, retreiving my shoe when it fell off our balcony onto the balcony of a room below ours, storing our bikes. the food was fine, but not exceptional, but it wasn't expensive either. More

We wanted a base from which to explore inland Puglia - the old town of Martina Franca, Locorotondo, Alberobello, etc. This hotel provided that, and its one great advantage was that it had a huge free car park. A good 20 minute walk from the old town past many blocks of flats this dates hotel offers business style accomadation. Probably built 25 yrs ago they have kept the place clean but could do with a facelift. The swimming pool is only open for two slots of two hours a day and on our visit every school child in... More

Tempted by reviews about fabulous food, I got off the train in Martina Franca. I went looking for a room and followed the signs to Hotel Dell'Erba.
