I actually went here a few years ago now. It had just been refurbished and was looking pretty tidy. The rooms were just what we needed for a group of four. Well presented and clean. Nice balcony with a pool view. The main bar looks fantastic and is excellent service too. The lads and ladies behind the bar are a... More

DO NOT STAY AT THE PHILOXENIA!!!!!!!! For my first holiday without parents, me and the girls decided to go to MALIA, and stay in the PHILOXENIA hotel. from seeing images on the official website, we had built up an idea of what it should look like, On arrival we were greeted by an empty reception and a non-English speaking maid.... The above story is based on true facts; however this is the first time that happened within the 27 years of hotel service (since 1985). In this point it is crucial to identify some details. At the time of the incident the hotel owner was absent, when he was informed, he took the matter on his own hand and he... More

Don't listen to any of the bad comments, I came to the Philoxenia hotel July 12-19th and it was amazing! The strip is a 5 minute walk, me and the girls ended up pre-drinking until 1, then we hit the strip, started in bars then hit the clubs, the best club by far is Candy! Ms Dynamite was there! Philoxenia... More

This has got to be one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in. We arrived there at 1pm in the afternoon and the reception is closed at that time and only opens at 6pm so had to wait around in order to check in. Our room was really small. You have to pay extra for air con... More

We stayed for a week in this hotel, from 29thjuly-5thAugust. The hospitality was well above standards and expectations. We travelled As a group of 3 girls, and all had a bed in the same room which was perfect. The food was brilliant. I'm a vegetarian, so always fussy, yet they never failed to meet my requirements. I have stayed in... More

My daughter has just come home early from this hotel. She was with a group of friends and both their rooms were robbed. The police weren't interested. This seems to be a common theme for this hotel. Three rooms broken into all rooms were all girl parties. Strange but seems to be common theme for this resort. Beware. More
