Stayed for one night when travelling back to the UK. Met by lovely young lady who spoke great English, and showed us to our rooms with minimum of fuss. Room 6 was on the second floor and facing out the back of the building so no view apart from some roofs/generators etc. room was well decorate and spotlessly clean with... More

Stayed here with the wife and elderly in laws. First trip abroad for the in laws and Natalie the owner could not have made a better impression, charming and helpful. This is my third visit and I will definitely stay here again when I am back in this area of France .

Spent one night in Hotel Foch. The room was spotless and the fair-sized bed very comfortable. Dinner was excellent, with a reasonable choice on the menu. The small hotel gives very good value for money, and well worth a visit.

At the suggestion of friends who regularily stay at Le Foch, we spent a night there recently rather than rushing straight to the eurotunnel following a long drive through France. This proved to be an excellent decision. The hotel is situated in the picturesque cobbled main square of Cassel, a small town with a historically interesting past - and something... More

Cassel is the only hill town in French Flanders and (supposedly) where the Grand Old Duke of York marched his 10,000 men up to the top of the hill and down again. But it is known to the French as the HQ of FOCH in 1914/15 in the Great War. His office can be seen in the expensively restored Museum... More

I stayed at Hotel Le Foch with my husband and 2 teenaged girls for one night. Natalie, the proprietress was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and spotless. The dinner and breakfast were both very good and affordable. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, charming, immaculate and central spot in this gorgeous gem of a town,... More

We chanced upon Le Foch a few years ago from its "Logis de France" accreditation. We've stayed several times since and never been disappointed, Cassel is a lovely Flemish town and handy for ferry terminals at Calais and Dunkerque. It's a hill-top town and the Grande Place has loads of character and several cafes, bars and restaurants as well as... More

In June 2011 and, again, in June 2012, I stayed at the Hotel Foch, on the Grand' Place in the heart of Cassel. The hotel is managed by a young couple, Nathalie and Luc. Nathalie is English-speaking; she is attentive to guests requests and makes them feel at home. Luc's cuisine is refined, well-presented and appetizing. The rooms are clean... More

We liked this hotel - really attentive, good food, nice breakfast and good value; but it is only a low/mid-market hotel; the beds are small and hard and the cobbles in the road outsdie make for a noisy night. Spend a night, perhaps two, but not more.

Cassel is a small town easy to get to from the ports for your first night. We were welcomed by Nathalie to a beautiful room (number 1) overlooking the square and were the served a fantastic meal at a very reasonable price! On the down side, the bed, although very comfy, was a little small for my 6'2" husband. There... More
