Good location- walking distance to amenities. Lovely guest's room with fantastic views, books, magazines and free internet. Delicious breakfast. Pity wifi did not work well in bedroom.

We stayed at Lake Wanaka Lodge in Wanaka for 1-night in April during a tour of New Zealand on route to Fox Glacier having travelled from Te Anau. We had booked a King-Bed studio on the internet a number of months in advance of our visit. On arrival we we told we had been allocated a family room (room 10)...

Lake Wanaka Lodge is kind of old fashioned but in a nice way. Run by Japanese hosts, it is very clean, very comfortable and makes a great place to stay. Its location is excellent - easy walking distance down to restaurants and bars while being quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was included in the price and it was of a high...

On arrival we were shown to a lower floor room but mentioned to our host that we had requested a room on an upper floor. He immediately showed us to a room upstairs which was
very clean and suited us very well. Breakfast included bacon and eggs and was good. The guest lounge was very comfortable and benefited from free...

We were very happy with our stay here. The hosts were very pleasant on arrival, took us up to our room and advised of all the amenties. The room itself was very clean and well presented.
Free wi-fi in our room was great, some other places we stayed charged for wi-fi. The common room looked very nice with lots of...

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was nice but needed the bacon & eggs option as the continental breakfast selection wasnt as plentiful as all other places we have stayed (been in NZ 5 weeks now).
The wifi connection is atrocious; Interminably slow, flaky & unreliable. The computer in the guest lounge isn't any better.
On a plus...

I stayed here with my husband for 3 nights - what a shame I was very sick with the flu! This meant I was very well acquainted with the rooms. Very hard mattress meant I used some cushions from the large and inviting communal lounge to sleep on. the owner allowed this which was nice. Nice rooms with tv and...

Clean, functional accommodation for an overnight stay. Immaculately clean and friendly service. Free wi-fi although very intermittent and poor signal. Good quality continental breakfast and cooked options.

We stayed here for three nights in November 2011. The rooms are not large, but were clean and well maintained. The common room on the second floor is great, with both a computer for internet access, and lots of guides and books. We would spend time in the common room every evening. If the weather is good, pick up a...

I stayed at this property on 18 Nov 2011. The location is extremely quiet, an easy 10 minute walk from the lake and centre of Wanaka. Breakfast included the most elegantly presented bacon and eggs I've ever encountered. Highly recommended.
