We stayed at Anker Brygge for 2 nights in a really well-appointed cabin on the wharf. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful and the cabin was spotlessly clean and very spacious with really comfy beds. The pub on the wharf serves an excellent breakfast - there is plenty of choice and is served buffet style, so... More

Without a doubt the worst hotel experience in my life. When we booked this hotel, we were attracted by the fact it is ranked as a five star luxury hotel in the capital of Lofoten Islands, and the price indeed reflect the stars, as it is very expensive. When arrived, we discover the real, sad, trhuth. No one was at... More

I am sorry that you got such an experience from your visit here at Anker Brygge. We are a part of the Historic hotels and restaurants here in Norway, and pride ourselves with good service and well maintained rooms and buildings. From the reviews other Tripadvisor-guest have left here I am sure that your experience luckily is one of few.... More

We were two couples that stayed in one of their "suite cabins". The 4 person-cabins are nice, with separate bathroom for each bedroom. Our cabin (no 35) had an almost perfect location , but there are other cabins that have less favorabloe positions. The rooms are nice and well maintained , but are quite dark and have colors from the... More

stayed here for 2 nights in early March 2011 right in the middle of the storms. Bit of a hairy drive down from Troms given the weather, a Norwegian 'motorway' is not quite the same as UK, more like an A road with B roads in parts. Got there quite late on the Saturday, they were still doing bar food,... More

The lodging was perfect, idyllic location and the surrounding scenery is quite simply breathtaking - combine south New Zealand with Chile and Scotland and multiply x 10. Agree wholeheartedly with previous rave reviews. Restaurant cuisine excellent but essential to pre-book dinner before arrival- they keep many tables for 6 or 8 free for passing customers of large groups but will... More

This is an expensive place in July during the peak season. On the other hand we got a large suite with two bedrooms each with a double bed, a large bathroom and a combined living room and kitchen seating 4 and 6 persons respectively. It is really a pleasant place to stay, but the breakfast was too basic and the... More

Very nice and spacious rorbu literally on the sea. It has a separate bedroom and a large combined living room and kitchen (pretty well equipped) . There is more room upstairs, but since we had only booked a double room, the stairway was locked. Room price includes a very basic (by Nordic standards) breakfast. Bread, cereals some charcuterie. About a... More

Stayed at the Anker Brygge in June 2006. 2BR cabin, right on the water, attractive, clean, comfortable, good bath, good breakfast, one block walk and you are in the main part of town. Shares the same island as the Rica, but not as pricey and, at least from the outside, nicer. I've traveled the world for 40+ years and the... More
