The Lost and Found is seriously one of the coolest places on the planet. I found it when searching for a place to begin my journey through Central America and was intrigued by its many interesting qualities including the cool excursions they do, Rocky the kinkajou, and the activities you can do around the hostel itself. When I arrieved I... More

I recently stayed for a week at Lost and found in Panama and had the best time of my whole trip in central america. The atmosphere was so chilled out and the staff were helpful and friendly. The place is clean and well maintained and the dinners they offer are superb. The hostel runs a great treasure hunt that takes... More

I´ve never been to a place like that before, the nature at the lodge is incredible and there is so much to do! They offer very nice tours (Especially the tours with Gabriel, the panamenian neighbour and employee, he showed us tarantulas, snakes and many different insects) and a treasure hunt, which is a nice option to get to know... I could not be more pleased with my stay at the Lost and Found. I planned to stay for 1 night but ended up staying for a week. The kitchen is fully stocked and fairly priced (I expected it to be expensive because all the supplys have to be hiked up) though you are free to bring up your own... More

I recently stayed at this hostel for the holidays with a group of friends and fellow peace corps volunteers. At 3am on December 25th, while trying to climb down from a 3rd story bunk (approx. 12 ft high). My friend slipped and fell, which resulted in a scary brain injury. I accompanied her in the ambulance while she was rushed... More

This place is pretty fantastic - they say that good roads bring bad people, and the trek up seemed to have discouraged less 'savoury' types from visiting when I stayed. The mix of volunteers is incredible and will stay that way for at least a few weeks from the writing of this review. If you stay for more than a... More

We first heard about this place at Mamallena Backpackers' Hostel in Panama City. So glad we did. Felt pretty guilty about getting the old fellow who lives at the bottom of the hill to carry our backpacks up to the hostel but no way could we have done it ourselves. Of course the young'uns and fit people have no problem.... More

My boyfriend and I spent 4 nights up at Lost & Found in February of this year - first off we were incredibly pleased that they offered us our first night free (we'd booked 3 nights in a private double but arrived early, which is when we were offered a night in the dorm for free - thanks!) Yes the... More
