I stayed there one month ago and the hole experiece was GREAT! I went with my boyfriend, we stayed at a cozy "cabaña" that had an amazing view from the window to the forest. The next day we took a mini excursion to one of the most waterfall I have ever seen, it was a 2 hour tour and it... More

My favorite place in the world. So relaxing, with so much natural beauty and the hotel staff treat you like family with smiles that make you wonder why what is the magic behind them. I love Ram Tzul and the people there. More

This was a lovely place to stay on our way to Tikal, and we stayed two nights. Convenient to the Quetzal reserve, we were there early, and found two pairs of the striking birds. In the afternoon we hiked the Ram Tzul private reserve, down to the a spectacular waterfall. We did not see that they had hummingbird feeders, and... More

This wasn't our first choice since it was well beyond our budget (it was low season, so we ended up negotiating a bit and got a great price), but we would have been happy to stay at the list price. Great little cabin type rooms, with big windows to the great outdoors. No teevees, no wifi, just the sounds of... More

I have been to many countries and places. Ram Tzul is my favorite! The beauty of the place, the food, the wilderness, the water fall, its bamboo forest, the magesty of the whole place, the kindness of the people that serve the place, the cabins are so cozy, big and neat! And it is not only the beauty of the... More

This spot, located in the cloud forests of Guatemala's Verapaces, treated me and my girlfriend very well. The room we got, really more of a private bungalow, was incredible spacious and comfortable. Everywhere we went, the views of the surrounding mountains and forests were amazing, and the hotel supplied us with an excellent guide to take us on a hike... More

On a family weekend we stayed for one night in this hotel. The rooms are simple but cosy and comfortable, the panorma windows allow for great views of the beautiful mountain scenery, and the open fireplace was great to spend the evening talking and having a couple of drinks. Food at the restaurant was OK, my wife enjoyed the local... More

A stunning location and stunning architecture - spoilt by the constant traffic noise and the less than friendly manager. We were the only guests, which was a bit off-putting. The adequate room had 2 picture windows looking out to the forest. A guide led us on a fast march to see the river and the waterfall, but it is too... More

If you are planning to travel in Guatemala, make sure you stop by Ram Tzul. It is close to the Biotop del Quetzal, a major tourist attraction on the way to Coban, Alta Verapaz. Just tell any bus to stop at Ram Tzul and they drop you off right at the entrance to the main building, which houses the restaurant.... More
