Coming from Australia, we were able to find little information about skiing in Korea, which we opted for rather than Japan. On a wing and a prayer we found great flights with China Southern Airlines direct from Brisbane, got a great deal for 10 nights at the Holiday Inn Suites, booked a car to meet us at Incheon airport and... Stayed here over Christmas and had a really lovely time. The suites are well appointed and have great views over the slopes - much better than the Intercontinental, which is actually further away. Breakfast is quite pricey, but tasty, and certainly sets you up for the day, and the afternoon buffet is also lovely. The only complaint I have is... More

Arrived here without any reservation for an evening stopover on my way from the east coast and prior to driving to Incheon the following day for a flight out of the country. Since it was not the ski season and a weeknight, I was assured of obtaining a room, and it certainly proved true as shown by the lack of... More

Resort room is neat and well furnished. Ours had a view of the ski slopes which were beautifully lit at night. There was even a fireworks display at the slopes on Valentine's Day's night. The ski village has convenience stores, restaurants, No-rae-bang, billards room (if you're looking for something to do at night) 1 Minor qualm: needing to pay for... More

This place is great for the skiing and family, just be prepared for the unexpected. The suite is open and comfortable for a family. Heated floor, kitchen with two burner stove, electronic fire place, everything you need to warm up after a day on the slopes. Right outside the resort are 5 slopes ready for day and night skiing. Plenty... More

Overall, reviews of this place are favorable, and should be. However, for those "wired" folks traveling as a group, be aware that this location charges for each device connected to the network. Each device also needs a separate account set up through the front desk. Imagine how confusing this can be if you have a group staying in a Suite,... More

After a 3 hour bus ride from Jamsil, Seoul we arrived at the Holiday Inn Alpensia. Check-in process was quick at the visitor centre and we were assigned a room overlooking the ski jump rather than the ski slope. It was an ondol room (underfloor heating) and everything worked properly and was brand new. The only complaint was that bedding... More

We stayed at Holiday Inn Alpensia Resort on Dec 30, 2011 till Jan 2, 2012. We booked it through website in September and got very good rate. Our room is a king bedroom suite, with open kitchen and the balcony. The room is very spacious. Kitchen utencils are very clean (they informed us that we have to call maid before... More

Alpensia was a lovely and scenic location! Though quite a distance from Seoul itself (approximately 3 hours by bus), it was well worth the time we took to get there. The room was very spacious - when we first entered the room, we were greeted by a kitchenette with a microwave oven, a heat induction cooking stove, and the complete... More
