Interesting place - on arrival its really impressive - large and beautifuly kept reception area, then a garden leading past a beautiful fountain (if its working) to excellent rooms overlooking the garden, pool or sea. The property is great with all amenities you would need in a resort. They have activities for all ages, including beach area. The staff is great, helpful and friendly. Fort Ilocandia seems to be located in the middle of nowhere. From the Laoag International Airport, Fort Ilocandia is a 20-minute or so drive through the sparsely populated Ilocos Norte suburb.
