I thought this place was going to be too expensive for my budget but I love rhinos so I had to go and let me say this now; this is the place for rhinos and African mammals in general and I did not regret spending the money. Hemingway spent many African safaris in these parts (read Green Hills of Africa... More

Amazing! That's how I describe my trip to Lewa Safari Camp. I can't wait to return. The staff was wonderful, the guides were very knowledgable and sharing and the accommodations were superb. The view from the bathroom was spectacular. I especially liked the coffee and cookies at morning eake up call and the hot water bottle in the bed at... More

It was a beautiful experience being in Lewa. Was able to get veeeery up close to Cheetah, Giraffe, Elephants and Zebra. Quite an array of exotic brids that come quite close. The tent and bathroom were fantastic, had never ever experience the luxury camp style living, but it was very very above classy. The bed was amazing! They have wake up... More

Couldn't wait to share my thoughts of this magical place, after arriving home from Lewa with the group from the Salt Lake City, Ut. Hogle Zoo. Truly a brilliant 12 days with the staff and drivers at Lewa. Simply, the time spent in Africa at this amazing safari camp is pure joy. Our time with Sue, the acting Manager, doo... More

What a beautiful landscape - this is where I fell in love with Africa... The landscape here at Lewa I consider spectular. And the story of how this place developed, and continues to develop, as a 'catalyst for conservation' is inspirational to me. I have a soft spot for Rhino's so after the second game drive after I'd got within... More

Exhilirating experience. Most gracious managers who made this solitary traveler feel in good company. A sunrise game drive and ample bush breakfast atop a hill was most special. Accommodations are immaculate and comfy and every meal is a treat. A most knowledgeable and pleasant guide whose enthusiasm is infectious. Lewa Downs serves up varied vistas and wildlife and you will... More

If you are interested in an amazing safari where you can see the Big Five, this is it! Two game drives a day where you off track to get really close to the wildlife. Great photo opportunities while enjoying a Tusker. The food, atmosphere, service and staff are second to none! AMAZING experience!!!

Izzy and Murray are wonderful hosts and make you feel like you are their most favorite guest. We spent part of our honeymoon at Lewa and enjoyed every minute of it. The tent is large, airy, and comfortable. The laundry services are great, but because of local customs, you have to do your own underwear. There are many activities besides... More

The accommodations at Lewa Safari Camp are lovely, spacious and well appointed semi-permanent tents with a very comfortable king sized bed, more than adequate storage space, a huge dressing area, double sinks and a wonderful hot water shower. A huge bonus was the added shelf in the dressing area with an outlet for electronics. The shelf was large enough for... More

Issy, Murray (and Treacle) have made this camp into a real gem. They really could not do enough to look after us and incorporate our requests for various day trips. Whilst the guided safaris were excellent, our forest visit was something very out of the ordinary. Do ask for this day trip if you are staying here - guided walks... More
