There's no other place like this on earth! If someone tells you 2 to 3 nights is enough, it is not. I wish we had spent at least a week here. The experiences happen here as life happens. You won't be spoon-fed the wild animals like the Mara. Picnics, tubing, hiking, tracking wildlife are all to be enjoyed. With Andrew... More

This is a truly superb place to stay. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable guides which made it very personal and it felt like we were the only people in the whole bush being looked after impeccably by Andrew and his wife. The food, accomadation and scenery is magical and the Francombe's attention to detail on all fronts was second to none.... More

Ol Malo House is a wonderfully designed building. We had spectacular views of the valley and the wildlife from all our rooms. Andrew and Chyulu, made us feel like family in the best sense of the word. It was a nice place to break up our safari tent experience, with laundry service provided, and hot showers. The meals are served... More

We stayed here in June 2011. They were able to accommodate 17 of us from the U.S.A. & Canada very comfortably. Ol Malo feels more like staying in someone's spectacular home rather than a hotel. Each room is unique. The furnishings are quite interesting & you'll want to tour each room & take pictures of each. The place is very... More

Ol Malo was an amazing experience and our time there was wonderful. Each day we were offered different activities from riding camels, hiking into the valley for a picnic lunch and swim in the river, games drives and sundowners on the back of the 4x4s. Andrew and Chyulu were wonderful hosts and we loved sharing their corner of Kenya. If... More

We stayed here while on safari with my family. We were fortunate to be the only guests and it was like running into a family vacation home as we all spread out to find the best rooms only to discover that every room was incredibly unique and charming and it really didn't matter where we stayed! The views were breathtaking,... More

We have just returned from a few days staying at this incredible lodge on an escarpment with panoramic views for miles as far as the eye can see. We have been to many lodges throughout Kenya and Tanzania and this surpasses them all. The lodge is not so much a building but a work of art in it's own right,... More

I just returned from a two week trip in Kenya and Ol Malo was definitely a highlight of our trip. The lodge is set on a dramatic cliff overlooking the beautiful landscape of Laikipia, Kenya. The Francombe family, who run the property meticulously, are incredibly elegent and attentive. The rooms are each their own private villas with gorgeous views and... More
