Just returned from an excellent stay with Andy at Laikipia. We were made to feel like royalty we were so well looked after. Our children have laughed at us, becasue the tents were so smart and luxiourious that they say it isn't camping. It was fabulous. The food, the wine, the company, all wonderful. We were even kept awake one... More

We stayed at the camp for 2 nights in February. We were picked up from Ol Pejeta airstrip by Andy and taken on a short game drive. The tents are beautiful with hot and cold running water, king size beds and a lounge area overlooking the water hole. We went lion trekking with Andy and on a game drive with... More

Stayed for 5 nights in January, our second visit here. Great food, camp staff and guides and of course managers, Andy & Sonja. Tents are large and extremely comfortable with the added bonus of hot & cold running water. The waterhole has matured since our last visit and is a real attraction for the wildlife, especially elephants and wide variety... More

We stayed at Kicheche Laikipia at the end of November for four nights, our first experience of a safari. The camp exceeded all expectations. The setting was superb and tents were extremely comfortable. The food was exquisite and in plentiful supply! The game drives were fantastic and the knowledge from the guides (Andrew and Mohammad) really contributed to a wonderful... More

I don't know what we were expecting, but it turned out to be an amazing three nights (four days) at KLC. Mohammed, our guide throughout, met us at the delightful Nanyuki Airport and it was like a dream after that. The camp is in a Conservancy area in sight of Mount Kenya and is about a 45 minute drive from... More

We stayed at Kicheche for two nights in October and this was the highlight of our three-week trip. You simply cannot fault anything: the food is haute cuisine, the tents luxurious without being ostentatious, the location by the waterhole superb (we saw elephants every day), the fires in the evening really atmospheric and the staff simply brilliant. Andy, the camp... More

We booked to stay at Kicheche Laikipia following a good amount of research online and our stay entirely met, in fact exceeded, our expectations. Although we had been on safari before (in South Africa), this was our first stay in a bush camp (previously we had stayed in small lodges) so we were not 100% sure what to expect. In... More

This was my first visit to Kicheche-Laikipia, although I’ve stayed at other Kicheche camps before (and have thoroughly enjoyed them all). I’ve had the pleasure of staying with Sonja and Andy, managers extraordinaires, twice before, so when I plan a trip to Kenya, their camp is definitely on my itinerary. Andy scouted out a truly magical location for this camp,... More

Absolutely outstanding. This is the standard by which all lodges should be measured. Every little detail is taken care of. Incredible setting by a huge water hole, fantastic food, wonderful hosting from Andy and fabulously friendly and helpful staff. On our first night, dinner was served in our tent because we were the only guests – the table was beautifully... More

We came to Kicheche Laikipia with high expectations based on previous visits to other Kicheche camps. Kicheche Laikipia still managed to exceed all our expectations. Andy does a great job of managing the camp and making you feel at home. Everything runs smoothly and seemingly effortlessly. The camp is in a great location - most days we spent our mid-day... More
