I was here for a few days in June and I must say its a lovely place. There are some watering holes around the camp so when it's dry, animals come quite close and you can see them from the dining room. Fine, the dining room is a little crowded and it does serve quite a bit of Indian food... More

We enjoyed our stay here, but we probably would not stay here again. The bar is small, the restaurant serves primarily Indian food and most important the reserve (ol Pajeta) is beautiful with lots of animals but it seems more like a gigantic cage free zoo than a reserve. It's just too perfect- does that make sense? There are animals... More

Didn't get here till late in the day, however, tents were fantastic! Hot water bottles provided! Unfortunately, lots of noise from the animals, but hey, that's what we're here for!!! Great wildlife and the Chimp Sanctuary was fantastic! More

I expected better. Welcome juice was tree tomato juice so I thought this is good what i expected. Most of lodges gives us normal fruite juice, orange or passion kind of.... However meals were not as we expeted. During Easter holiday, the camp was fully booked. They give us choice of Beef, Lamb and Pork. I guess most of guests... More

After three previous photo safaris in South Africa and Botswana, I was looking forward to Sweetwaters, having heard some good things about it. I found it out of the way, the tents only average, the choice of food at meals awful, and the game drives less than exciting. Would not go back. More

We were concerned to see this review for the Sweetwaters tented camp. As will be seen from our Trip Advisor performance to date this camp has a record of excellent reviews, something we are especially proud of. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy - within which Sweetwaters is located - has never received a review that is anything less than EXCELLENT (please... More

Only gripe is the price of a bottle of water at 350KSH the most expensive I came across after two months in the country. Everything including wi-fi is charged as an extra 300KSH per hour so unforeseen costs do mount up quickly. On the plus side the facilities are fantastic and the hot water bottles placed in the room at... More

Fabulous location overlooking a watering hole - we saw giraffes and zebras right ouside out camp (the other side of the discreet safety ditch). Beds and bathroom were comfy and the food was good. Excellent safari there - so many animals. Would definitely recommend. Only thing we regret is not going on a night safari there. More

This was my second visit to Sweetwaters and the tents had been refurbished and were very good, the hot water bottle in the bed was fantastic. The service at reception was excellent and very helpful. The food in the restaurant was not quite up to the usual Serena standard but was acceptable. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy was abundant with wildlife... More

This was the second time my friend, her 2 year old daughter and I stayed at Sweetwaters and we loved it both times. The views are spectacular, with view of Mount Kenya opposite our tent, Number 5, perfect for the waterhole too where both times we saw Black Rhinos late in the evening. We found the tent clean with enough... More
