In the off-season, you get substantial discounts for the premium location in Yosemite Valley. The room was fine, on par with a Holiday Inn, but older. It was a comfortable place to bring a young child. The food court was across the street. Keep your expectations realistic, go in the off-season and you'll find a tremendous value here. more

If it's all about the location then this is the place to go. However, it's expensive, and the room we stayed in was in need of renovation. The bathroom was very bad. Stayed 2 nights with kids 12,10, 7. Despite family rooms being fully booked when I booked we were upgraded to a family room on arrival.
